The next James Bond movie has been given a disappointing update, with a studio boss saying they are "not concerned" with the gap between films. The last instalment in the long-running spy franchise, No Time to Die, was released three years ago, the movie acting as Daniel Craig ’s swansong as 007.

It's been over three years since the last James Bond movie, and there's still no news of casting for the next installment – but Amazon MGM Studios boss Jennifer Salke isn't worried about the wait."There are a lot of ideas [about potential actors] that have popped up that I thought are interesting,

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977): The best Roger Moore Bond film by any metric. Bond drives a Lotus Esprit off a pier and converts the car into a submarine. Barbara Bach stars opposite as Russian agent XXX, and everyone is having the time of their lives. As Carly Simon sings in the opening theme song, nobody does it better.

To be clear, when we say all the James Bond films, we mean the 25 “official” films produced by EON, which began with Dr. No in 1962 and ran through Daniel Craig’s final film in 2021. The 1967’s spoof version of Casino Royale and 1983’s old-Bond-returns, Never Say Never Again, are both not included in this list.

As fans of the James Bond movies continue to wait patiently for any sort of progress on the next installment, the post-No Time to Die atmosphere is a bit chilly. To be fair, the extended wait for the release of Daniel Craig’s swan song and the now three years that have passed since are atypical when compared to the franchise’s historically clockwork pace.
