On Tuesday at 1:04 p.m. the National Weather Service released an updated winter weather advisory valid from 7 p.m. until Wednesday 10 a.m. for Franklin, Worcester, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden,
Massachusetts drivers should take it easy on the roads tonight with freezing rain on the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.
In the advisory, the National Weather Service warned, “Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Difficult travel conditions arepossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.”
Massachusetts is set to be blanketed in snow after temperatures sunk as low as 14F overnight. The National Weather Service is forecasting snowfall across all of the state on Monday, with most regions expecting 1 to 2 inches of accumulation.
