In 2A Whitepine League girls basketball district tournament loser-out play on Thursday at Lewiston High School, Prairie of Cottonwood recovered from a second-quarter slump to defeat Kamiah 54-42 and advance to a state play-in game. It was the fourth time this season the Pirates (19-5) defeated the Kubs (14-11), and the third in the last two weeks.
