Chicago weather: Scattered storms return Monday before midweek heat surge
Chicago weather will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Monday before temperatures climb into the upper 80s and near 90 degrees with increasing humidity by midweek.
It’s going to feel a lot like summer in coming days, with hotter temperatures accompanying chances for thunderstorms and rising dewpoints.
A more humid air mass is increasing the threat for thunderstorms, including some potentially severe storms late Friday and Friday night. After a brief break this weekend, rain chances return Monday and Tuesday before hotter weather arrives next week.
