GM recalls over 2,000 Chevrolet Equinox electric vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday that General Motors is recalling about 2,890 Chevrolet Equinox EV vehicles due to concerns about their adaptive cruise control. The recall affects certain 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV all-wheel drive electric vehicles.

Chevrolet is recalling 2,890 all-wheel-drive Equinox EVs in the U.S. due to a software issue in the adaptive cruise control system that may prevent the brakes from activating when they’re supposed to, per a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Unless, that is, you're driving certain examples of the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV. Those are being recalled because a problem with the brake module means that they could fail to brake when the adaptive cruise system is on, potentially leading to a crash and perhaps worse.
