Very strong winds Wednesday night combined with falling snow, will produce near-blizzard to blizzard conditions.
A powerful storm system is expected to crash into a wide swath of Montana this week. Another round of heavy precipitation, destructive wind and widespread power outages are possible, if not likely, according to the National Weather Service.
High wind warnings remain in effect until late tonight, including large portions of Wyoming. West winds of 30-45 mph, with gusts to 60-75 mph. Winds in the mountains may reach 80-90 mph at times. There is another round of high winds that will move through Wednesday and into Thursday, where winds will be very similar in intensity.
