Trader Joe's has issued a recall for Face Rock Creamery's Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheese Curds due to the possibility of listeria contamination.

The company is urging customers not to eat the cheese because it could contain listeria, which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in certain people.

Two lots of cheese curds have been recalled from Trader Joe’s stores after random sample testing turned up listeria in some finished product. Manufacturer Face Rock Creamery’s recall notice said the Oregon company did the testing itself on its Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar Curds.
