DETROIT -- Josh Jung delivered a special Mother's Day gift to his mom, Mary. The Texas Rangers third baseman hit a two-out, two-run homer in the fifth inning of his team's 6-1 win at Detroit on Sunday. Jung's brother, Jace, was in the Tigers' lineup at the same position.
There have been more than 400 brother combinations to play in the big leagues and a Mother’s Day meeting has been rare.

While the tic-tac-toe game became a wash after three moves, Josh got the best of Jace on the field in what became a 10-3 Rangers win in Detroit. Josh went 1-for-4 at the plate in Texas' win, while Jace went 0-for-3 as the Tigers struggled to get much of anything going at the plate against Jacob deGrom .
Josh Jung was the star of Sunday’s win over the Tigers, giving Texas a successful close to a dramatic week of change.
