A witness video captured New York City officers carrying one of the people wounded out of the Park Avenue building where a gunman had opened fire.

At least one police officer and one civilian have been shot at a Park Avenue building, law enforcement officials told NBC News. MSNBC investigative reporter Marc Santia joins The Weeknight to break down the latest.

When police arrived at the scene, they found "an unidentified male unconscious and unresponsive in the water," the NYPD said.

New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch described how Shane Devon Tamura, the shooter in the mass shooting in Midtown Manhattan, carried out the attack.
