Goose, a five-foot-long monitor lizard on the loose for a couple of weeks, was spotted in the Bay State after he was seen in Connecticut.

Water monitor lizard named Goose escaped from his Webster, Mass. home on Friday, July 18 and was spotted exactly a week later in Thompson, Conn., but he has since been retrieved and rescued.

Water monitors are a type of lizard with sharp teeth, and this one named Goose that is black with white scars on its back was last seen around Little Pond in Thompson, Connecticut, according to a Facebook post on Friday, July 25 by that town’s animal control officer.
