The death toll from last week ’ s severe weather in Kentucky has risen to 21, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Saturday. The state was hit with deadly flooding amid freezing temperatures last weekend, which continued to devastate the central Plains as another storm system brought more heavy snow and wind.

Kentucky is battling the combined effects of historic flooding, a significant snowstorm and dangerously low temperatures.

Gov. Andy Beshear confirmed 21 people are dead following severe flooding. "This is particularly true if Russia assesses that the US cannot or will not support the European NATO countries in a war with Russia."
