West Ham have cancelled Wednesday's scheduled press conference featuring manager Julen Lopetegui, with widespread reports saying the Premier League club are preparing sack the Spaniard.

West Ham United head coach Julen Lopetegui is taking training on Wednesday before being sacked after, according to reports.

Lopetegui took charge of first-team training on Tuesday and arrived at West Ham's Rush Green training ground on Wednesday to resume coaching duties, but West Ham have now cancelled his scheduled press conference at 1.15pm today ahead of Friday's FA Cup third-round trip to Aston Villa.

It was reported on Monday that West Ham were considering whether to sack Julen Lopetegui following a disappointing start to his tenure. The board have held talks with Graham Potter about possibly replacing the Spaniard but as of yet Lopetegui remains in his position.
