A mob in Bangladesh has demolished the Dhaka family home of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and properties owned by some of her relatives. Leaders of Hasina's Awami League party were also targeted by the mob.

Protesters in Bangladesh have demolished more houses of leaders of Sheikh Hasina's Awami League and defaced murals of the country's founder Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after they vandalised and set on fire the former family home of the deposed prime minister.

Bangladesh's new government is struggling to deal with a host of issues, including a stumbling economy and human rights violations, left behind by the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina six months ago.
