Northern Lights Update: Map Shows 16 States for Aurora Borealis Tonight
A geomagnetic storm could make aurora borealis—or the northern lights—visible across parts of the United States overnight Tuesday. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Space Weather Prediction Center forecast that the northern lights could be visible in up to 16 states.
