Timberwolves superstar guard Anthony Edwards appears to take a subtle shot at the Boston Celtics and the Eastern Conference in the latest Adidad commercial.

Nike took a thinly veiled shot at Adidas Tuesday through its Twitter/X account in response to an Anthony Edwards commercial that debuted earlier in the day and the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over Edwards’ Minnesota Timberwolves.

Now entering his fifth NBA season, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards ' star has risen considerably over the last couple of seasons. So has his confidence, as Edwards claims he could have gone toe-to-toe with Michael Jordan in that era of the NBA.

The first few weeks of the season figure to be a feeling-out process for this new-look team. Gone is the twin-tower identity forged by the pairing of Towns and Rudy Gobert. Now, the Wolves roster has a more conventional feel to it, one they believe will help them match up better against a wide variety of opponents in the Western Conference.

The Timberwolves made a big move this offseason, trading Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks. But Anthony Edwards is still here and he insisted Minnesota is where he wants to stay for as long as he’s in the NBA.
